Roy Rogers would have been a hundred years old on Saturday, Nov. 5.
I've told the story many times about how the direction of my life was likely permanently altered by the discovery of Roy Rogers comics, without which, chances are, I wouldn't live on an Arizona ranch property or write western comics like Desperadoes, Graveslinger and the forthcoming Deadlands: Black Water.
I'll be celebrating Roy's centennial at the Tucson Comic Con, which is on Saturday and Sunday this year (the first time it's been a 2-day show. On Saturday at 1 pm I'm on a writer's panel; otherwise I'll be at my table in the dealer's room. You can pick up books and comics directly from me there. Come on out and say howdy!
